The Delhi edition of India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) was a magnificent success due to the great enthusiasm and the outstanding performance by the designers and participants from the jewellery fraternity.
Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers unveiled their new range ‘Amér’, inspired by the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, at the IIJW, 2013.
Being the only jeweller from Jaipur, Birdhichand once again raised the bar with a life-sized facsimile of a train complete with lavish arching ironwork. The 3D projection of the railway station and the sound of the engine left the audience awestruck and added an astonishing charm to the event. The graceful female models could be seen through the train windows, commenced the show by descending on to the station in the Indo-western attires with the mesmerizing jewellery.
The show featured signature pieces from the new collection “Amér” embellished with white and natural fancy colored yellow canary and precious pink diamonds in full cut, rose cut and uncut shapes. They are further adorned with lush green emeralds, natural basara pearls and rubies.
The main essence of the collection is felt in the varied motifs designed in the shape of pillars, arches and the like to give a deep insight into the legacy of Rajasthan’s architecture.
The showstopper for the evening was the former Miss Universe and the stunning Bollywood actress, Lara Dutta. With a spell of style in her charismatic royal blue gown, she walked the ramp with Creative Director, Mr Yash Agarwal wearing dazzling jewellery from the Amér collection. She looked extremely gorgeous with the exquisite necklace bejeweled with white diamonds and green emeralds.
Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers is one of the pioneering luxury jewellery brands in India. At this jewellery house, each collection is adorned with astounding quality. Their ‘Adrishya’ and ‘Aranya’ collection, launched at IIJW 2011 and IIJW 2012 respectively, are already well established brands with contemporary designs.
