Come September, Wear Sapphire

The favorite of all, a symbol of trust and the one which brings an instant shine in the eyes and reflects the purity of soul: Sapphire. The name sapphire is believed to originate from ‘sapphirus’, the Greek word, meaning blue. The September birthstone Sapphire is considered to be the birthstone for Virgo (The sign of the Virgin) and relate to those born between August 23 and September 22.

Sapphire mainly appears as blue stones, ranging from very pale blue to deep indigo. The beautiful and lively Sapphire is one of the four most precious gemstones, the other three being, diamond, ruby and emerald. The royal jewel of sapphire used to be worn by the kings as it was believed to possess the property of wisdom while the priests used it as it symbolizes utmost faithfulness, trust, love and purity.
