Birdichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers: Highlights of 2016

We are about to bid adieu to the year 2016 and welcome 2017 with open arms. This is the time when we remember the good memories created in the past year and hope to create some more in the year coming up. 2016 was definitely an eventful year for Birdichand Ghanshyamdas with so many achievements to our name. As we remember the past year there are some memories that we remember precisely. Here is the list of top ten of those moments when Birdichand was in news and loved every moment of it.

1) Black book, India’s Luxury Insider featured cover Story on Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers with Yash Agarwal in its December 2016 issue. Birdichand is grateful to Black book for including us in the year finale issue and we couldn’t be more excited.

2) Jewelry by Birdichand has won recognition not only in India but internationally as well. The December issue of Society Magazine featured Anita Ohri- the ‘hi-sos’ hotelier of Bangkok wearing Choker necklace and Jhumki set by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers.

3) “The value of colored stones appreciates multi fold due to their limited availability.” This was what Dr. Nawal Agrawal, Co-partner at Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers had to say when one of the fastest growing lifestyle magazines Millionaireasia India covered him for an interview.

4) Birdichand has always been popular among brides and we have always loved the attention we got from them. We were even more excited when Vogue featured our Diamond Ruby Necklace among the best jewellery to be paired with designer lehangas this wedding season.

5) There cannot be a bigger complement to our jewelry then the most gorgeous woman on this planet adorning it. The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan donned rings by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers for November’16 edition’s cover of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.

6) One of the highlights of year 2016 was when an array of jewellery collections by Birdichand found their way to Vogue’s October 2016 edition advertorial.

7) As we mentioned we have always been favorite of brides and getting featured in special edition –Vogue’s wedding Show 2016 definitely felt like a winning moment. VOGUE India featured Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers and our collection- Adaa in this edition.

8) At Birdichand, every piece of jewelry is created with passion and perfection. So it did not come as a surprise when Earrings of Adaa by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers featured in the June2016 cover story of ELLE India magazine as one of their favorite Ear candies.

9) Bracelet by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers was featured in, Jewel Trends inspired by architecture in Harpers Bazaar Bride India May 2016, edition. Undoubtedly we have the best designers in the industry.

10) When ladies of royal family like Yashodhra Singh Rana, Nandini Singh Jhabua and Chandini Singh adorn jewellery by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers to appear in a special cover story of a magazine like Verve, we know that we are on the right track.

Showstoppers for IIJW Mumbai 2015

The 6th edition of IIJW Mumbai is all set to begin on 3rd August 2015.  Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers has been a premier participant in IIJW having participated in all editions including IIJW New Delhi which was held in April 2013.

While our first show in IIJW 2010 presented the rocking singer Hard Kaur as the showstopper, IIJW 2011 was dazzled by the presence of gorgeous Malaika Arora Khan with the launch of Adrishya. The audience was left awestruck when the former Miss-Universe and the stunning Sushmita Sen stole the show with the launch of Aranya in 2012. The IIJW 2013 in Mumbai was a big hit with three showstoppers the ‘Queen of hearts’ Kangana Ranaut, Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, renowned singer and actress Ila Arun and Actor Vidyut Jamwal  who presented the collection Amér.  Beautiful Parineeti Chopra walked the ramp wearing Aks- the reflection of time” in the year 2014.

Birdhichand  Ghanshyamdas Jewellers is now presenting Adaa- An Ode to Woman at IIJW Mumbai 2015. The latest collection ‘Adaa’ establishes a deep connection between the character of a woman and the kind of jewellery she wears. Inspired by the six crowning beauties whose names are etched in the history of India, whose innate sense of fashion is still remembered, it speaks volumes about how the jewellery worn by the style icons in the old times defined their style in a very wide perspective and it still continues to do so.

Yash Agarwal wins the “Jewellery Designer of the Year” award at Retail Jeweller India Awards 2014

Mr Yash Agarwal, the Creative Director of Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, received the ‘Jewellery Designer of the Year’ award at 10th Annual Gemfields & Nazraana Retail Jeweller India Awards 2014. This is the second time that Yash Agarwal has been honoured with this prestigious award.

The award was presented by Vikram Merchant, Manager of Rio Tinto Diamonds and Ms. Yami Gautam, the famous Bollywood actress. Glamorous Showstopper of Birdhichand at IIJW Mumbai 2014

As IIJW 2014 is not too far away now, it’s time to rewind and relive the beautiful memories that Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers have experienced at the leading fashion and jewellery show of India.

In the year 2011, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers launched a collection ‘Adrishya‘ that was designed with a unique technique where gold jewellery was bedecked with precious colored stones without the gold visible at all. Adrishya was launched at IIJW Mumbai with show stopper being the sensational Bollywood Diva, Malaika Arora Khan.

In the year 2012, after Adrishya made its mark in the history of jewellery, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers unveiled their new range of contemporary jewellery ‘Aranya’ at IIJW Mumbai. Aranya meaning ‘forest’ was a poetic inspiration of nature, flowers, leaves and most importantly the fauna of India. The designs featured various birds and animals like elephant, peacock and was an exquisite theme in itself. Aranya was launched by the gorgeous former Miss Universe and leading Indian film actress Sushmita Sen.

In 2013, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, who are known to come up with a new theme and marvelous craftsmanship with every collection, designed something that had never been done before. They designed a collection that was inspired by the pristine architecture of Rajasthan and named it after a fort that is known as one of the most bewildering architectural marvels, Amér. 

Amér was launched at IIJW New Delhi 2013 with the stunning former Miss-Universe and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta.

 At IIJW Mumbai 2013, Birdhichand once again dazzled the audience with its theme “Reflection of undying charm of Rajasthan in Indian Cinema” and presented Amér with four showstoppers depicting different eras of Indian cinema. The royal and beautiful Sharmila Tagore, the talented Rajasthani folk singer and actress, Ila Arun , the contemporary actress Kangana Ranaut and the handsome model turned actor Vidyut Jamwal scorched the ramp.

In the colorful and vibrant  floral issue of Vogue India March  2014 that features the gorgeous Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor on its cover is perfectly complimented by the stunning bracelet from the collection ‘Amer’ by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers. This epitome of fashion and jewellery is inspired by the arches of Rajasthan meticulously created and designed with yellow diamonds, diamond polki (uncut diamonds) and the bewildering green emerald in the middle of it.
